BOWLING WITH CHICAGO BEARS

Thanks to my amazing client and dearest friend, Laura Delman, Jason and I had the exciting opportunity to attend a fund raiser event to support a wonderful charity, Prevent Child Abuse America. Laura,who is on the board of this organization, is very involved and active in this important cause.

The event took place at a bowling alley, Pinstripes, in Nortbrook. The unique venue had a large indoor/outdoor area where we enjoyed sharing cocktails and dinner with an electric and generous crowd which included the Chicago Bears. Dinner was followed by a live auction and a chance to bowl with the Bears!

And guess what,  Laura won the first bid and our table got the first pick to choose our Chicago Bear bowling teammate! You can only imagine the amount of adrenaline that was around our table.

 And...Ryan Mundy was the first pick!  He is a remarkable athlete who has been in the league for 7 years. He even played in the Super Bowl! He was extremely nice and super cool to spend time with, we enjoyed sharing pictures of our kids.

 When Laura invited me, I truly had no idea what to expect. I knew we were in for a serious treat and was confident that my husband Jason would be thrilled with the news... even though he is a very loyal Jets fan.

The only question and the most important one was... what should I wear?!

Bowling and dinner, it's kinda sporty I didn't want to feel overdressed but still chic and elegant.

 Harem pants was the perfect to item to start building my look, especially now when skinny trousers are almost over!  I styled them with beautiful cut out tank and topped it with my favorite Persy leather jacket.

EVENT FOR ISRAELI WOMEN IN CHICAGO

Last Sunday I had the huge honor of being the speaker at an exciting event here in Chicago, organized by Israeli House.

About 100 Israeli women came to enjoy creations of eleven local Israeli artists as well as stylish kosher style breakfast coffee and mimosas. In addition, there were beauty, hair and style tips throughout the entire event.

It was extremely exciting to talk about our extraordinary Israeli designers! I also presented trendy pieces and shared some styling tricks including my favorite princess Leah hair updo. And since I am leaving to Israel soon, I treated all attendees with the biggest yet Tel Aviv Couture sample sale and a little gift from me.

 Even though I was a touch nervous and almost showed up on crutches because of an ankle injury I had the day before, I couldn't be happier with the turnout of the event. It was a touching experience to share my love of fashion and Israeli artists with so many beautiful Israeli women in Chicago.

I want to thank Israeli House, Israeli Consulate, and all the amazing artists and wonderful guests that took part in this memorable event. And of course major thank you to my team and Elisabeth Smith and Jonathan Cohon at JHC Production for capturing those memories for us.

THE ART OF LAYERING

Styling is all about mixing and matching your favorite pieces. 
To contrast the casual boyfriend style shorts I added a power blazer to get me through busy casual business downtown day.

 I particularity love layering leather shirt with soft sweats. Because of the texture, its interesting to play with the collar of the shirt. And statement necklaces would be a perfect final touch accessory for  this look.

Sweats already made few appearances on my blog here.

THE SECRET IS OUT...

Now the secret is out and I can finally rave about an exciting styling job I did last month.

Jason and I really love the new Chicago restaurant Embeya. Not only is the food and service spectacular, we love the owners of the restaurant, husband and wife, Attila and Komal. We became fans right away.  

Komal and Attila got selected for the Michigan Avenue Magazine for their "... City' s chicest couples that put their own stamp on Chicago Style!" feature. And Komal asked me to style her for this photo shoot!

It was an extremely exciting call for me. First, because Komal is a style icon herself, so when she came to me I was very flattered. She told me, "I wanted something different so I thought of you" :-)!  And the fact that beautiful Komal is an expecting mom who is due any day now made this whole experience so much more special!

I had a dress in my mind in the minute I got this call. But of course I wanted to provide options as you never know! After many great considerations from Chicago's favorites such as Neiman Marcus, Intermix, Lanvin Komal decided to go with an Israeli Designer dress that I had initially in mind. I couldn't be happier because she looked so beautiful and glowing and the most important thing is that she knew it :) This meant the world to me.
