This time the discovery was easy as Barak
Lahav brought his entire collection all the way from Israel to my showroom in
Chicago.
I was amazed by his ambition, creativity,
hard work, and of course couldn't resist the opportunity to interview Barak
for my blog.
When did you realize you wanted to become a
fashion designer?
Since I remember myself at all. When I was a
little kid I was drawing my mom’s dresses during breakfast.
You mentioned that so far you launched 4
collections; what's your favorite piece?
The jumper from my last collection! This was
a true challenge for me as it was the first pant I ever designed. I put a
tremendous amount of work into it and it ended up being my best selling item.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
As much as it's challenging to be an emerging
designer in Israel, I hope to be recognized worldwide and to continue living my
dream.
What's your inspiration as a designer? Who
is your idol?
I am inspired a lot by street fashion and
what I see on social media. I am a huge fan of Instagram. Alber Elbaz is my
idol, I adore his style and every single detail in his designs.
What is the “must-have item" every
woman should own?
Put that hat on! It’s just amazing what
wonders this accessory can do to your outfit. I was looking for a piece to
complete looks for my last photo shoot and a hat I found in an Israeli flea
market was the perfect complement!
I am thrilled to welcome Barak Lahav

Israel, Barak will be making an appearance at the amazing Limka boutique this
weekend! (2 Shlomo Hamelech St)
In my next blog post I will be featuring one
of my favorite pieces from Barak's Lahav collection.
I love the loose yet chic style of his
Ruffle dress as I can comfortably wear it while expecting my baby boy :) Here
is a sneak peek.
Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope you enjoyed and come back soon.
