SNEAKERS CAN ACTUALLY LOOK CHIC

I couldn't be more grateful for the trend that has been around for a while and it's just getting better... the sneakers trend!

As much as I LOVE heels, I can't wear them all the time. Especially while spending time with my 4 year old and while expecting my little boy arrival, any day now :)  The great news is that the variety of sneakers are endless and they can actually look chic!

Here I paired mine with ripped white denim, basic T shirt and one of my favorite button down shirts as a light jacket. An extra layer of cozy sweater in Chicago is always a great idea.

When dressing up your sneakers, think opposites. Try stepping out of your comfort zone and style them with a dress or tailored blazer. You may be fashionably surprised!

What do you think? Would you try it? How do you stye your sneakers? Comment here for a chance to win a weekly giveaway to my most stylish readers!

Have a fantastic week and stay tuned on my Instagram for some exciting baby news :)

TEL AVIV COUTURE FASHION SHOW AT DEPAUL

When DePaul's super-motivated and ambitious student Ben Rios proposed to me producing an Israeli fashion show so close to my due date, I wasn't sure if I could do it but I couldn't resist the opportunity.
I am always so proud to introduce innovative fashions from Tel Aviv and I was very excited to be the speaker of the event and inspire DePaul students with my story.

Tel Aviv Couture designers Luminary, Barak Lahav, Anat Zafrir, Blush, Ciporkin and more  wowed the audience with their creations on the runway of DePaul.

A22 by ANAT ZAFRIR
Models who are students of DePaul loved the uniqueness of the clothing and totally rocked the runway!

I couldn't be happier with the great response and exposure that Israeli designers received as they truly deserve it! The entire experience reminded me how much I love my job.

Special thank you to all the sponsors of the event that made this happen:
Israel Campus Coalition, Israeli Counsulat of Chicago, DePaul, Hillel, JUF Israeli Education Center, Students Suporting Israel, Fashion 20/20 designed by DePaul, DePaul models and Aveda for hair and make up.

Also thank you Fashion 20/20 designed by DePaul for interviewing me and for featuring Tel Aviv Couture designer Barak Lahav on their site.

Thank you for visiting my blog

TEA TIME

Afternoon tea is my new absolute favorite thing to do. Maybe it's the fact that my due date is right around the corner and drinks options are limited. But it's not just that. Tea time is a super chic way to celebrate a special occasion or just have fun girl time.
My birthday celebration with my family last week was at the Langham afternoon tea, and it was exactly what the doctor ordered for me - and beyond. And my little mini loved it as much as I did! :-) They had mini stylish treats, delicious tea, superior service, and the mind blowing decor was so delightful! I particularly loved the fact that Langham made the entire experience extremely kids friendly. And of course the dressing up part was so much fun!

I wore a black & white stripe dress by Neta Efrati with an edgy jacket, and of course a hat! My mini wore a dress by Israeli designer Castro and white Mary Jane Valentino-stud inspired shoes. :-)

Last week, I also had the opportunity to style one of my favorite yoga instructors Alexia Bauer  also for a tea party! Since her personality is not so girly and I wanted to make sure she didn't feel overdressed, I styled her with an edgy pair of slouchy silk pants and a feminine sheer top with an open back. Of course the most important accessory is the hat! The bigger the merrier! I love how Alexia rocked the tea party in this super chic style! But most importantly, she loved it and her comfort and ease shows perfectly in the photos.

Of course, a traditional 60's inspired dress is always a great option but you know me, I like taking the risk and stepping out of the traditional style. After all fashion is all about having fun with it!

Snaps from my Tea Time mood board that I created on Pinterest. Sources and more inspiration here.

Another favorite places for an afternoon tea are at the Peninsula and Soho House.

Happy Tea Time!
Yours truly,
Tali

BUMPING IN STYLE WITH MY MINI

Here is another look that perfectly defines my maternity style. Interesting jacket or in this case a cape, styled with t-shit and denim or shorts.

This cape is one of my favorite recent finds. Its a great buy as I can wear it now and way after the baby arrival, so trendy and so chic!

At the beginning of my pregnancy I have purchased on sale few larger size designer t-shirts with stretch and am still enjoying them in 36 weeks!

No need to spend a fortune on maternity clothing that I personally often find quite boring.

MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH AT EMBEYA

So, my birthday today couldn't start any better! Yesterday, my dear friend, Komal Patel and her 9 month old adorable baby Paloma hosted a very memorable Mother's Day Brunch at one of our most favorite  dining spots in Chicago, Embeya. Kids had a separate play area with babysitters so their parents could purely enjoy and celebrate! What a brilliant idea, we loved every second of it! Not to mention a spectacular brunch by their remarkable chef, Michael Sheerin.

Thank you Embeya!

One of many greatest things of being multicultural is all the wonderful holidays that I can celebrate. Mothers Day is surely one of my favorites now. Its by far the hardest but my most favorite job I have ever done!
Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful moms in this world!

SIMPLICITY IS CHIC

I feel like this style was kinda my uniform during this entire pregnancy. The only lovely change now  is that Spring is officially here and I can finally wear shorts.

To accomplish this put together polished look I styled basics with a blazer and added cool accessories. Point toe flats always works perfectly with shorts.

INTRODUCING LUMINARY

It was love at first sight when I was first introduced to Russian ballet inspired collection by Luminary.  Maybe because I have a weakness for ballet as my sister and I were dancing from a very early age in our childhood country of Ukraine and now my little mini me is following same path. I love
the softness and the femininity of the collection that embodies the gentle grace of a dancer. All of the pieces are effortlessly transform from day and night with simple understated elegance. And the most amazing part for me is that I can actually wear some pieces in my 35th week and way after baby arrival as well.

Luminary brand was established by two Israeli designers Lihi Shimrich Cohen & Shira Langer Words. They are based in Tel Aviv, and now expanding in to the US market.

I am very honored to present LUMINARY collection on TelAvivCouture.com and to feature their line  at the DePaul University fashion show on May 20 in Chicago.
