FROM LANVIN AND MCQUEEN TO REVIVAL OF MASKIT

Last year in July, I had a unique opportunity to meet Sharon Tal, while covering Maskit event for my blog. I fell in love with Sharon, the brand and their amazing story which had led to the most exciting collaboration yet. This month it is the beginning with Maskit's major US tour visiting 15 states. And the first destination is Chicago!

I am thrilled to announce that for the first time, Sharon Tal, the head designer of Israeli first fashion house Maskit, will be featured at the Moriah art fair, Feb 27-29.

Luxury brand Maskit, originally founded in 1954 by Ruth Dyan, became an overnight global sensation. High end department stores like Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman sold Maskit designs, and fashion icon celebrities like Audrey Hepburn wore them. But in 1995, the company went silent.
Today, Maskit is back, this time with a Parisian trained designer at the helm. 32-year-old Sharon Tal learned the ins and outs of couture from the very best, working with top fashion houses Lanvin and Alexander McQueen. She and Ruth Dyan, now 99 years young, are combining forces to return Maskit to its hey day. Looking at the latest designs, they are clearly well on their way!
Sharon graduated from Shenkar and worked with major fashion houses Lanvin and Alexander McQueen. Fueled by her passion, courage and a strong identification with her roots, Sharon set out to resurrect the Maskit name.

Sharon's collection was inspired by the vision of a multicultural Israel. The embroidery, details, luxurious fabrics and uniqueness of her designs are like nothing
we have ever seen made in Israel before.

The best news is that you can meet Sharon Tal and shop iconic Maskit masterpieces pieces such as Desert coat, unique scarves as well as their newly launched home collection at Moriah show.
Of course, I will also be there styling with Maskit designs.

I very much look forward to see you at the show!
